If you followed this site for very long, than you know that it kills my soul to waste food. I’ll eat leftovers for days before I’ll throw them away and re-use everything I can. Chips rarely go stale in our house, so I was pretty bummed when I found that a whole bag of my favorite Trader Joe’s baked chips had gone stale. Determined to not throw them away, I instantly thought of microwaving them, as I’ve revived old bread this way many times
I poured some into a big bowl and cooked them on high for about 30-40 seconds at a time, tossing in between. After four or five times in the microwave, they were as good as new. Even better actually, because they were hot (why have I never thought of that?)! And then I thought I needed to really test my theory before posting about it, so I poured rest of the bag into another big bowl and left them out until the next day…to get really good and stale! And to my pleasant surprise, they perked right back up as good as the first batch!
While I can’t guarantee this will work with every kind of chip, it’s worth a shot!
