Our two favorite resorts are Port Orleans Riverside and Pop Century, and this is largely because we love the food courts. During our last stay at Pop, we walked over to Art of Animation to check out the food court there. The walk over from Pop is a bit long, but nice. You cross over a huge bridge that has gorgeous views of the lake and both resorts.
The food court at Art of Animation was impressive! It’s divided to represent different sections of the resort: Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo, and Little Mermaid. Each “room” has a huge themed light fixture above it and art from the films decorate the walls. The food choices are endless. At dinner you can find everything from unique sandwiches and pizzas, to butter chicken and stir fry. Nothing on the menu is above $12.49 except for the large pizzas, which serve several people. They also have extensive breakfast and dessert choices, including real gelato. We LOVED it so much that we went back twice!

- Quick review: My daughter had been wanting to try the Surf and turf burger, which did not disappoint. It’s a crab cake topped with fried popcorn shrimp, tomato, lettuce, and cajun remoulade on a brioche bun served with coleslaw or house seasoned fries for $10.99. She loved it, and said it had great flavor and texture. I went with the Caprese sandwich and was so glad I did. It’s vine ripened tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil leaves, and balsamic drizzled on ciabatta served with house made chips for $8.99. The ingredients were fresh and light, and it had a ton of flavor. And as usual, the house made chips were delish. Both sandwiches were huge and totally sharable. We should have shared…neither of us could finish our meal.
