Today is a very special today because 60 years ago my favorite Disney movie was released: Alice in Wonderland of course! That’s right – this year marks the 60th anniversary of one of Disney’s most beloved films. To celebrate, Disney released Alice in Wonderland on Blu-ray for the first time ever earlier this year. It includes both DVD and Blu-ray copies of the film, plus it is chock full with cool bonus features like an interactive game called “Painting The Roses Red” and “Through The Keyhole: A Companion’s Guide To Wonderland”, which explains some of the connections between the film and the original book written by Lewis Carroll. This would make an awesome gift for any Alice or Disney fan. Hint, hint Mom! 🙂
Now, I’m sure many of you know that I truly adore this movie, but to really exemplify my admiration, here is a picture with me and SOME my Alice souvenirs I have collected over the years. (I couldn’t fit everything, ha!)
…And yes, that’s me in an Alice costume. I’ve thought about wearing it to Disney, but I think I would then definitely cross the line from a dedicated fan to an obsessed addict. 🙂 To help you get into the Alice spirit too, below is a YouTube video of one of my favorite scenes from the film.
Hope everyone here on Saving Everyday has a “very merry unbirthday” (…Unless of course it is your actually birthday, and then HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Get off the computer and go celebrate! =P) and thanks for reading!
