AAA Membership Can Save You On Your Disney Vacation

If you’re an AAA member, there are lots of ways that your membership can save you on your Disney vacation. The most obvious are saving on your room (and you can get that discount through central reservations or your travel agent) and tickets; however, there are other ways to save. Here are three of my favorites:

Show your AAA card at non-signature restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin: I used it at The Fountain at the Dolphin Hotel in August.
AAA offers discounts on rentals cars, and allows you a discount to join their Club Gold program.
AAA has discounts arranged with many airport parking services. I’m from the Boston area, and we get 15% off at the Thrifty valet at either Logan (Boston) or TF Green (Providence).

Disney Dining Plan | Using Snack Credits Wisely

As you know, we are usually on the dining plan, but since this was an impromptu trip, we are paying out of pocket. But for those who do the dining plan, using your credits wisely can maximize your savings.

The pictures below show various items that qualify as snacks on the dining plan (most qualifying items are marked with an icon). Try to choose the ones that are a better use of your credit (like a bag of pretzels vs. a lollipop). Sometimes we’ll even pay for $1 and $2 items and save our credit.
