You guys hear me rant a lot about Restaurant.comand how much I love it! After receiving some questions from readers, I thought it would be helpful to do quick tutorial. This is an order I just placed this morning (I apologize for my crooked arrows) You can click on all the images to see them larger.
Shopping on Restaurant.com Tutorial
When you click on Restaurant.com you will be brought to the first page. This is where you start searching for restaurants in your area. I buy certificates for my area AND areas that I travel to frequently, like Louisville, Nashville, Cincinnati, etc…
When you are searching, you can refine the list to make it easier to find restaurants in your area.
This page is where you add certificates to your cart. The top left shows how many restaurants were found in my search. On the top right you can sort various different ways according to what you want. I usually go straight to ‘New’ restaurants. When you see a restaurant that interests you, you can right click on the name and open it in a new window (that way you don’t constantly lose your place). Here you will find all the details including the terms and the menus.
After you have added the restaurant you want to your cart, you can click on ‘Continue Shopping’ and it will bring you right back to the previous page. If you are done shopping, you can enter the discount code where it says ‘Apply Promo Code’ and click ‘Apply’. Then click on ‘Proceed to Checkout’ and follow the checkout process.
After you checkout, you will brought to a page where you can print your restaurant certificates. They make the whole process VERY user friendly. Most gift certificates are good for up to a YEAR! This is why I bought so many for Lilly’s…it’s an upscale unique little bistro that we LOVE and I have never seen it offered on here before so I stocked up!
Once you have done this, you’ll find how easy it is. I have been using this website for years and I have never had a problem at any restaurant. I always tell my server I have a Restaurant.com certificate and it is never an issue. Here are some screenshots for an order I just placed this morning. I bought $195.00 worth of restaurant gift certificates, saved $83.30, and only paid $35.70…crazy huh??
My daughter and I are actually going to Louisville today and you can bet I’ll be using one of these Lilly’s certificates
